Q. What are the upfront
costs? A. The one-time franchise fee
ranges from $20K-$100K based upon the demographics of the territory
selected. Recommended additional working capital to open your
business ranges from $15K-$50K.
Q. Are there any royalty or
advertising fees? A. A
monthly royalty of 6% of gross sales is collected from each
franchise owner which allows the corporate office to provide ongoing
support and services. No separate advertising or co-op fee is
charged.
Q. Tell me more about who my clients will be? A. We sell our
products and services direct to the owners and managers of
commercial properties such as office buildings, hotels, restaurants,
atriums, and malls. We also work closely with design
professionals including landscape architects and interior designers
who specify products for clients.
Q. How much money can I make? A. We make no promises
about financial rewards to you. How much you make will
primarily depend upon your individual efforts!
Q. How do you sell your products and
services in the marketplace?
A. Typically, we set an appointment to meet
face-to-face with a prospect or client in order to give a tailored
presentation on our company and a custom proposal for their
facility. We also participate in a bid process on many
high profile projects.
Q. Why do clients want interior
plants in their buildings?
There are a myriad of reasons why a client will
choose our products and services. Our interiorscapes:
Bring the beauty of nature indoors
Contribute to a mood or
theme
Increase property values
Attract tenants and
guests
Boost employee morale and performance
Filter out indoor
air pollutants (live plants)
Offer a less expensive alternative
to furniture & artwork
Consumer expectations and competitive
considerations will also influence our client's buying
decisions.
Q. What is the availability of
territory in my area? A.
Because we started franchising in Florida where we are
headquartered, our greatest concentration of offices is in the
southeastern U.S.; however, many opportunities exist in both primary
and secondary markets across the U.S.
International opportunities also exist.
Let us know your
territory preference and we will discuss availability with you.
Q. Where do I buy plants, planters, and related supplies for this
business? A. You may purchase interiorscape products from
any reputable supplier. Highest quality live plants are purchased
direct from approved growers in Florida, California, and
Hawaii. On behalf of our franchisees, we negotiate volume and
preferred client discounts from industry vendors.
(Information about vendors and suppliers is provided in our initial
training class and in our Operations Manual.)
Q. Who takes care of the plants at
these commercial properties?
A. Uniformed, trained technicians typically
provide weekly maintenance services including watering, pruning,
fertilizing, pest control, and related plant health
management. We provide our franchise owners with training so
that they are equipped to provide plant care services themselves or
to train or hire qualified service
technicians.
Q. How do I obtain a UFOC and
Franchise Agreement? A. In three
simple steps: 1) Complete the enclosed Franchise Qualification Form and e-mail or
fax it to us. This form does not constitute an offer of a franchise.
2) Next, we will contact you via phone to conduct a
personal interview. 3) Then, upon our mutual agreement, we
will mail our federally registered Uniform Offering Circular (UFOC)
and Franchise Agreement to you. We also encourage franchise
prospects to schedule a visit to our headquarters in Orlando,
Florida to learn more about our franchise
opportunity. Upon the
decision to purchase a franchise, we require a 10% non-refundable
deposit with a Letter of Intent. The Franchise Agreement is executed
& the balance of the franchise fee is due on or before the first
day of training. A Foliage Design Systems Franchise
provides the opportunity to own your own business and to experience
personal growth, satisfaction, and success!
