David G. Liu - President

Leading expert, lecturer, & consultant in the interiorscape industry and author of the popular "In Liu Of" column in Interiorscape Magazine. David has been involved in the industry for over twenty-five years in executive management positions.

David provides company direction & oversees all day-to-day operations of Foliage Design Systems Franchise Company and its subsidiaries, Foliage Design Systems of Central Florida, Atlanta, & Jacksonville.

John S. Hagood - Chairman and Founder

Founded Foliage Design Systems in 1971 in Ocala, Florida. In 1980, created the franchise company becoming the first-ever to expand via franchising in the interior landscape industry. For years, Foliage Design Systems has been consistently ranked as one of the largest interiorscape firms in the U.S.

John plays a role in establishing national & regional accounts, developing contacts within the design community, and selling new franchise territories. John also owns and operates Franchise Consultants, Inc. assisting other businesses in growth and development via the vehicle of franchising.

Michael K. Lewis - Executive Vice President and Director National Sales and Marketing

Co-owned and operated a multi-million dollar interior landscaping company, Plantscape House, Inc. in Orlando, FL from 1980 – 1996. Sold that business to a large corporation, Tru Green Chem Lawn, and managed all national sales and marketing for it’s 24-city, $45 million interiorscape division from 1997-2000.

Michael joined Foliage Design Systems in 2000 and plays an active role in new business development along with providing marketing strategy and support to the FDS franchise network.

John, David, and Michael are joined by a strong corporate support staff, our franchise owners, and their employees, who each play a vital role in the continued success of Foliage Design Systems.
