Green Plants for Green Buildings presented a plaque showing its appreciation to Michael K. Lewis of Foliage Design Systems of Central Florida for 12 years of service on the board and 5 years as President. During his tenure, Michael has led the organization in it’s pursuit to communicate the aesthetic, well being, and economic benefits of nature in the built environment.
Among many green initiatives, Green Plants for Green Buildings promotes biophilia, which is the bond between human beings, other living organisms, and living systems connected to nature. Studies suggest that structures containing natural environmental features are more supportive of human well-being and performance than those that do not contain these features.
Thank you, Mike, for so ably representing our industry!
